The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the list of 10,000 successful applicants for constable and specialist roles in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
According to the PSC, these successful applicants come from all 774 local government areas (LGAs) in the country.
Ikechukwu Ani, the PSC spokesperson, said on Tuesday that 9,000 applicants were chosen for general duty roles, while 1,000 were selected for specialist positions.
PSC Chairman, Solomon Arase said the selection process was thorough to improve the force’s capability and efficiency.
He revealed that 10 applicants were chosen from each LGA, following the national assembly’s recommendation.
Arase emphasized that the list of successful candidates must be presented to the public in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act of 2023.
He said, “I am filled with optimism because these young men and women represent the future of our nation’s security.
“It is our collective responsibility to ensure that their journey begins on a foundation of integrity, transparency and excellence.
“The list of successful candidates must be presented to the public in a manner compliant with the Nigeria Data protection Act of 2023.”
How to check recruitment status
Candidates are advised to check their applications on the Police Service Commission’s website, www.policeservicecommission.cloud.
Applicants can check their selection status using their national identification number (NIN).
Additionally, applicants can contact the PSC recruitment support team through WhatsApp at 08094767777 and 09031318499 for any concerns or questions.
In October 2023, the PSC and NPF invited applications for constable roles and specialized positions.
By February, 171,956 applicants had been shortlisted for computer-based tests as part of the recruitment process for general duty positions.
