Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a presidential candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and former governor of Kano State, has dispelled rumors that he is working for another party in the upcoming general election in 2023.
Goldennewsng reports that during an appearance on a live radio program in Dutse, Jigawa State, Mr. Kwankwasko made this statement while responding to questions from some of his supporters.
He stated that since he and those who support him joined the NNPP, individuals have been fabricating various lies solely for political gain.
He asserts, “I heard that some people are claiming that Northern elders met me and asked me to step down in favor of a Northern candidate, and some are claiming that I am in a relationship with the APC.”
“Who can inform us of Arewa? We know Arewa better than anyone else. These are candidates whose health and qualifications are questionable.
He explained that the news wasn’t true and was made up by criminals to distract Nigerians for political reasons.
“I am for NNPP, there is no going back. God forbid I work or romance with APC, PDP, or any of them.
If Nigerians want things to improve, this is a golden opportunity for them all. He continued, “If they want things to continue, so be it,” NNPP is the solution.
