RAPE: Primary School Teacher Sentenced To Life For Raping 5 Year Old Pupil In Jigawa
A primary school teacher in jigawa state identified as Mr. Makasusi Sanusi has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a Jigawa state High Court in Kazaure for raping a 5 year old pupil.
GoldenNewsNg gathered that the presiding Judge Justice Hussaina Adamu found Sanusi guilty of luring and raping the victim who is a pupil of the school.
The incident which contravenes the Jigawa state penal code Miscellaneous amendment 2014 happened February 2012.
The convict was said to have lured and raped the victim in the school where he works as a teacher.
GoldenNewsNg gathered that a statement from the ministry of Justice said the prosecution called five witnesses including the victim and tendered a medical report, while the defendant testified in his defense.
In reacting to the evidences made available, the presiding Judge said the prosecution had proven beyond doubts and sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment in accordance to section 3 of the Jigawa state penal code Miscellaneous amendment, 2014.
