Job Title: Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, MFA

Job Description: Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, MFA

Position Overview: The role demands a thorough understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation engineering within the context of cement production. The incumbent will be responsible for independently executing tasks that require judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinating and supervising electrical and instrumentation tasks.
  2. Ensuring the availability of all electrical and instrumentation equipment for production.
  3. Ensuring Predictive and Preventive Maintenance Schedules are correctly executed.
  4. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Procedures.
  5. Following up with the Electrical Planner on spares for execution.
  6. Assigning and coordinating work to E&I Technicians and ensuring the close-out of assigned tasks.

  • Level of Education/Qualifications Normally Required:
    • Bachelor of Engineering Degree, B.SC Degree, HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Specific Work Experience:
    • Minimum of four (4) years in a modern integrated cement/large-scale industry in a similar field.
    • Expertise in Medium and Low Voltage Electric Motors and their Applications, ABB Switch-Gears, 11KV/400V Power Distribution Panels and Motor Centre, and Cement Industrial Instrumentation and Controls.
    • Membership of relevant regulatory bodies (COREN, NSE) is an advantage.
    • Ability to work under pressure with little or no supervision.
    • Ability to lead people of diverse cultures and manage functions.
    • Hands-on experience with ABB and Siemens Variable Frequency/Speed Drives.

Job Description:

The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the organization’s Environmental plan and procedures. They train personnel in proper responses to environmental impacts, hazards, and control measures, ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations within the plant. The role involves coordinating general housekeeping, waste disposal, and other environmental-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance performance and ensure sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the plant meets environmental statutory/legal requirements.
  2. Regularly measure plant emissions and discharges, monitor, report, and propose measures to control deviations.
  3. Verify the implementation of primary corrective measures (calibration, seals, etc.).
  4. Collate environmental parameters for monthly reporting and participate in internal and external audits.
  5. Perform regular variance analyses on priority key environmental indicators and propose corrective actions.
  6. Enforce quarry exploitation standards and techniques.
  7. Ensure proper storage and handling of hazardous materials.
  8. Implement a waste management plan to minimize, recycle, and treat plant-generated waste.
  9. Promote the plant’s image as responsible for its environmental obligations.
  10. Liaise with the process and quality department for plant optimization.
  11. Ensure environmental monitoring test equipment (e.g., emission and noise equipment) is in good working condition and regularly calibrated.
  12. Initiate actions to prevent environmental non-compliance.
  13. Conduct regular inspections of plant water drainages, taking corrective steps for blockages.
  14. Ensure healthy working conditions and safety for all plant personnel.
  15. Properly plan work, allocate resources, and execute tasks.

Job Description:

The Category Manager for Production Services I plays a pivotal role in driving and being accountable for category performance and initiatives within the assigned country and other regions per the category charter. Job Description:

As a Lubricator, your primary responsibility is to carry out lubrication activities as assigned or directed by your superior. This role involves ensuring full responsibility for the functional location area assigned to you. Here are the main responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out lubrication tasks as assigned by the superior and SAP PM.
  2. Ensure detailed daily lubrication reporting.
  3. Update lubrication activities on Excel and any available lubrication files.
  4. Take full responsibility for own safety and that of equipment, being aware of work-related safety hazards.
  5. Collect lubricants from stores, handle, and store them properly in the assigned place.
  6. Maintain and clean lubricant dispensing equipment/tools in order and according to best practices.
  7. Inspect lubrication points at the site and report findings to the superior and concerned employees.
  8. Maintain lubrication activities and site observation reports daily.
  9. Ensure oil sampling, labeling, and hands-on report review.
  10. Use LubExpert to analyze MV Motor bearings before greasing.
  11. Ensure good housekeeping before and after lubrication tasks.

Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Knowledge of cement manufacturing process or other heavy industry operations and processes.
  • Knowledge of lubricants (grease and oil).
  • Knowledge of Safety and Occupational health-related hazards associated with lubrication practices.
  • Strong Excel and MS Office proficiency (including good knowledge of PowerPoint).
  • Good knowledge of SAP and SAP FC is a plus.
