In advance of the 2023 presidential election, former Senate President Bukola Saraki has revealed the party’s greatest obstacle in the Southeast.
Goldennewsng reports that he asserts that the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, faces the greatest challenge in the country’s Southeast from Peter Obi’s Labour Party, LP.
During an interview on Arise TV’s The Morning Show on Monday, Saraki made this assertion.
“South-South is a strong PDP area,” he stated. We will do very well in the South-South and South-East; Labour will, of course, be our challenge there.
However, we will maintain our 25% and perform well in the Southeast. He stated, “We will do well in North Central, North-West, and North-East.”
In the meantime, the former president of the Senate has insisted that the PDP will win the election in four political zones: North-West, North-East, South-South, and North-Central.
“We require four zones. You will win the election when you have four zones.
“We will take our 25% more than 24 states, and the four zones that we will win are North-west, North-east, South-south, and North-central. That is unquestionable,” he continued.
Keep in mind that Atiku Abubakar defeated Saraki, Nyesom Wike, Udom Emmanuel, Ayo Fayose, and Bala Mohammed for the PDP 2023 presidential nomination.
