How to Check JAMB Results Online

Step 1: Visit the JAMB Result Portal

Go to the official JAMB result-checking portal.

Step 2: Enter Your Details

Input the phone number used during registration or your registration number.

Step 3: Click on “Check My Results”

Your JAMB result will be displayed instantly. You can screenshot or print it for future reference.

 

How to Check Your JAMB Result Offline (via SMS)

Step 1 : Send a Message to 55019

If you don’t have access to the internet, you can check your JAMB result offline via SMS. Here’s how:

  1. Send UTMERESULT (without spaces) via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the phone number you registered with.
  2. Ensure you have a minimum credit balance of N50 before sending the message.
  3. Wait for a response.

Expect the following responses:

  • If you used a non-registered phone number, you’ll receive the message: “This phone number was not used for registration.”
  • If you have a result, you’ll receive a message like: “Dear Mr/Miss X, your result is as follows…” (additional information provided).
  • If your result is withheld, you’ll receive a “Result Withheld” text.
  • If you need to provide clarifications/documents, you’ll receive: “Result withheld pending the upload of clarifications/document required from you.”
  • If you were absent, you’ll receive “CANDIDATE ABSENT.” If your registration number is also canceled, you’ll be informed.
  • If you entered the exam venue without authorization, you’ll receive the message “Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall.”

Step 2: Receive Your JAMB Score

JAMB will send your result as an SMS in a few minutes. If you don’t get a response, try again later.

After you receive your result, you’ll need to log into the JAMB portal to print your result.

Common Issues When Checking JAMB Results

1. “Result Not Available” Message

Your result may still be processing. Try again later.

2. “Result Withheld” Message

Your result has been withheld by JAMB.

2. Incorrect Phone Number

Only the phone number used during JAMB registration can receive results via SMS.

3. Network Issues

If you experience delays, check your internet connection or SMS balance before trying again.

  • Go to JAMB CAPS.
  • Click on “Check Admission Status” and follow the instructions.
