Political activist, Omoyele Sowore has weighed in on the controversy surrounding the petition of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) against controversial lawyer, Ifunanya Excel Grant popularly known as“Baddest Lawyer.”

Goldennewsng recalls that the NBA had petitioned the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee with allegations of misconduct against Grant.

However, the social media influencer said she is not a practising lawyer.

Grant stated this in a video message shared via her Tiktok page recently in reaction to the petition filed against her.

She had said, “I’m not a practising lawyer. I am a lawyer by book, but I am not practising. At least for now, I don’t have any interest to practise law, maybe someday in the future.

“At the moment, I am a model. I am an actress, and I am an upcoming musician, a rapper, to be precise. So everything I do, everything I post [on social media] is just for entertainment purposes.”

Reacting to Grant’s proclamation, Sowore argued that the NBA has no right to question how she chooses to express herself.

He insisted that lawyers who should be investigated are those promoting injustice.

According to him, “Dear Ifunaya Baddest lawyer:

“Even if you’re a practicing lawyer, it is nobody’s business how you choose to express yourself. The real lawyers that needs to be investigated and derobed are those helping with the dispensation of injustice. I totally support your right to be yourself! Don’t mind the hypocritical NBA leaders. Continue to remain your Baddest self!”
