The State Security Service also known as Department of State Services (DSS) is self-styled as the Department of State Services, is a security agency of Nigeria and one of three successor organisations to the National Security Organization. The agency is under the Federal Ministry of Defence of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
Its main responsibilities are within the country and include counter-intelligence, internal security, counter-terrorism, and surveillance as well as investigating some other types of serious crimes against the state.
Requirements and eligibility of State Security Service recruitment 2021/2022.
- Applicants must have a B.Sc. or B.A. or B.Pharm or HND in any relevant Engineering and Management or Social Sciences course with an at least a Second Class Lower or Upper Credit.
- Applicants should have completed their NYSC with certificate or certificate of exemption.
- They should not be more than 30 years old.
- Must be computer literate.

- After the submission of an application, an applicant will receive an acknowledgment containing the status of the application and a reference number.
