Stanbic IBTC Announces 2024/2025 University Scholarship for Nigerian Undergraduates

Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC, the parent company of Stanbic Bank, has opened applications for its 2024/2025 University Scholarship Programme, aimed at supporting Nigerian undergraduates. The scholarship targets students who participated in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and have gained admission into any Nigerian state or federal university.

Kunle Adedeji, Acting Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC, described the initiative as more than just funding tuition, emphasizing that it represents an investment in Nigeria’s future leaders and innovators. He stated:

“Education remains the most powerful catalyst for transformation, both for individuals and for our nation. Through our scholarship programme, we’re investing in Nigeria’s future leaders, innovators, and change-makers who will shape the trajectory of our country for decades to come.”

The scholarship is part of Stanbic IBTC’s broader youth empowerment efforts, which also include the Youth Leadership Series (YLS), Higher Institution Football League (HIFL), Together4ALimb, Digital Skill Empowerment Programme (DiSEP), and Adopt-A-School initiative.

Eligibility and Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be admitted into a Nigerian state or federal university through the 2024 UTME

  • Submit a recent passport photograph

  • Provide a valid ID card (NIN slip, voter’s card, birth certificate, or international passport)

  • Achieve a minimum UTME score of 250

Application Process

Applicants can apply in two ways:

  1. Complete the online application form via the official Stanbic IBTC scholarship page: Stanbic IBTC University Scholarship

  2. After filling out the required information, submit the requested documents via email to UniversityScholarship@stanbicibtc.com

Candidates are also encouraged to review the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for additional guidance.

The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, 16 September 2025. Any extension will be communicated through Stanbic IBTC’s official platforms. For inquiries, applicants can contact UniversityScholarship@stanbicibtc.com.
