The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to President Bola Tinubu on Community Development, South East region, Chioma Nweze has expressed concern over the high rate of inflation in the country.
Nweze shared her concern while speaking with newsmen during her visit to Abakaliki in Ebonyi State,
She blamed the economic crisis in the country on the inflation rate.
The aide, however, stated that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is ready to address such challenges through lots of agricultural programs in the country.
According to her, “Coincidentally the level of suffering has increased because of the inflation rate in Nigeria. The communities are our own investment, and the President doesn’t want them to suffer.
“The Presidency has lots of agricultural programs to reach out to the people, so that we can increase the number of food that can be brought to the townships and to other levels, by doing so, it can be addressed.”
Nweze further stated her committed efforts to ensure that there is total inclusion of the Southeast region in various agricultural programs of the federal government, adding that such inclusion would help to address the inflation rate in the region.
