King Perryy, a Nigerian Afropop singer has said that Dancehall and Reggae star, Timaya is the sole person responsible for transforming his life.
Goldennewsng reports that he stated this in response to his colleague, Benkretz, who said Burna Boy and Timaya have a few things to learn from Olamide as he’s supported many artistes.
In response, King Perryy said that it is disrespectful to put Timaya in the category of top singers who have not supported up and coming talents.
Sharing a video of him addressing the report, Perryy said the ‘Ukwu’ crooner has done things for him that only a father can do for a son.
He said that the Dem Mama records founder is also behind the success of other entertainers in the industry. The singer stressed that if anyone’s name should not have made such a list, then it has to be Timaya.

Goldennewsng reported earlier that Benkret appealed to dancehall stars, Burna Boy and Timaya to emulate their colleague, Olamide, who is known for grooming talents.
He stated that Olamide has given opportunities to a lot of artistes in the South west particularly Lagos and they have become stars who stand independently today.
Benkretz urged the Port Harcourt-born artistes to emulate the act and offer similar help to artistes based in the south-south.
According to the up-and-coming musician, there are many talented people in the region but there is no one to ‘help us’.
He took to his social media page to beg both Timaya and Burna Boy with passion, adding that he is using God’s name for them to consider his request.
Benkretz wrote; ‘‘Olamide has helped a lot of local contents(artists )from the west(lasgidi) rise & stand.
@burnaboygram @timayatimaya please do same in the south (Port Harcourt), We use God beg una. Plenty talents Dey south but Helpers Far from us.”
