After the tragic incident that took place after some hungry Nigerians pulled down a gate at Tonto Dikeh’s house in Abuja and made away with food materials meant to be distributed. While the media saw them as mobs and hungry Nigerians, Tonto Dikeh saw them as people in need.
Rather than taking offence at what happened the actress has continued to give and share to the needy who are suffering the biting effects of the lock down that has paralyzed economic activities and rendered millions jobless and in poverty.
The hungry Nigerians that thronged her residence for food were motivated by sentiments about the celebrity only supplying food and aid to northerners, neglecting hungry people in her location and focusing on the north. But those reports were not true as her charitable activities spreads across many parts of the country.
The government of Nigeria have decided to ease the lock down in the country as a measure to save many people from poverty and starvation even though only little progress has been made in the efforts to curb the spread of the corona virus.
Nigerians are very impressed with Tonto Dikeh’s charitable activities and they will not forget it anytime soon. The actress is also getting donations and support from many people to continue wit her good work.
