Being a student at one of Nigeria’s most expensive University does not guarantee that you will receive a good education.

If you are eager to enroll in a university but are unsure which educational institution would give you with the greatest education, consider the institutions listed below.When it comes to university tuition in Nigeria, it’s obvious that the situation is one-sided.
Due to hefty tuition fees, private universities in the country are prohibitively expensive.
Nonetheless, none of the top federal and state colleges are included in this ranking because their tuition costs are far cheaper than private universities.

ILE UNIVERSITY, ABUJA (₦2.7 MILLION – ₦5.8 MILLION)

Nile University is a private higher education institution in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, situated at Plot 681, Cadastral Zone C-OO, Research and Institution Area, Jabi Airport Bypass. The Institution was founded in the year 2009.

The purpose is to provide high-quality higher education to the country’s growing number of secondary school dropouts. When Nile University was created, it had three faculties, and as they grew and thrived over time, the need to provide high-quality training on a large scale became more apparent.

Nile University is presently the most expensive university in Nigeria. The university’s tuition ranges from 2.7 million to 5.8 million Naira per year, not including housing.

AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, YOLA (₦3–₦4.2 MILLION)

Yola, Adamawa state is home to the American University of Nigeria. This is a private institution in the State’s capital city. The institution is known as the American University of Nigeria (AUN).

This private university is owned by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria’s former Vice President. Learners receive a world-class education at the institution. This is the first institution in Sub-Saharan Africa to offer this type of education, which is based on the American educational system.

The purpose of the African Union is to educate Africa’s future leaders and to serve as a catalyst and agent of economic growth across the continent.

The American University of Nigeria charges between 3 million and 4.2 million Naira per year in tuition.

 

BAZE UNIVERSITY, ABUJA (₦2.2 MILLION – ₦3.2 MILLION)

Baze University is another well-known private university in Nigeria. It is located in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, which is one of the most beautiful cities in the country. Baze University’s main campus is 6 kilometers from Abuja’s core business center, on Jabi Airport Road, Bypass Ring Road. Baze has a seasoned multinational team, outstanding instructional equipment, international external examiners, and top-notch premises to ensure excellence. The University’s purpose is to provide a university education in Nigeria that satisfies British standards for a fraction of the cost of sending a student abroad for further education.

PAN-ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY, LAGOS (₦2 MILLION – ₦2.5 MILLION)

The Pan-Atlantic University in Lagos is one of the best universities in the state. It is also a private higher educational institution in the Lekki district of the state. This university was established in 1991, along with other private tertiary education institutions in Nigeria.

The annual tuition rates at the Pan-atlantic University in Lagos range from 2 million to 2.5 million Nairas, depending on the field of study.

 

BABCOCK UNIVERSITY, ILISHAN-REMO (BETWEEN ₦1 AND ₦3 MILLION)

Babcock Institution, located in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, is a Christian private university. With annual tuition costs ranging from one million to three million Naira, it is one of Nigeria’s most expensive institutions. This fee, on the other hand, is set by the department and program of study.

Babcock University has been a leading private university in Nigeria since 1999, with a reputation for providing cutting-edge education.

Babcock University’s annual school fees are among the highest in the country.

 

IGBINEDION UNIVERSITY, OKADA (₦1 MILLION – ₦3 MILLION)

Igbinedion University, Okada commenced academic programs in five faculties during the 1999/2000 school year.  As part of its goals to teach and produce job providers, Igbinedion University has integrated entrepreneurial and skills development curriculum to appropriately equip learners for the job market. Tuition costs at the school run from one million to three million dollars per year, making it one of Nigeria’s most expensive colleges.

AFE BABALOLA UNIVERSITY, ADO-EKITI (₦1 MILLION – ₦2.2 MILLION)

Afe Babalola Institution, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) is a non-profit private university that is authorized by the Federal Government. It is situated on 130 hectares of land, which gives a pleasant and conducive learning environment.

Afe Babalola University was founded in 2009 by Afe Babalola, a well-known lawyer and philanthropist. The institution features five colleges that function under a collegiate system.

Tuition prices range from 1 million to 2.2 million Naira per year, making it one of Nigeria’s highly pricey institutions.

COVENANT UNIVERSITY, OTA (₦850,000 – ₦1.2 MILLION)

Covenant University is likely Nigeria’s most well-known and outstanding private university currently. This is indeed a private Christian institution of higher learning in Ota, Ogun State.

Covenant University is a part of the Living Faith Church International (Winners Chapel). Bishop David Oyedepo established the university during the year 2002. This school’s students are known for being cognitively competent as a consequence of the large educational standards they get.

Covenant University’s annual tuition rates range from ₦850,000 to ₦1.2 million. In addition, the school is an excellent value for money in the country.

BENSON IDAHOSA UNIVERSITY (₦350,000 – ₦1.9 MILLION)

A whole other private Christian university that enters this rundown of Nigeria’s most expensive universities is Benson Idahosa University.

The school is in the Nigerian city of Benin, in the state of Edo. The Church of God Mission International, led by Archbishop Benson Idahosa, established it in February 2002.

Benson Idahosa University is well-known for its educational prowess, with annual tuition prices ranging from ₦350,000 to ₦1.9 million.

BOWEN UNIVERSITY, IWO (₦450,000 – ₦1.3 MILLION)

Bowen Institution, located in Iwo, Osun State, Nigeria, is an independent Christian Baptist university.
It was founded in 2001 and is a well-equipped higher educational institution.
The university has produced a large number of high-quality graduates in a range of fields across the country over the years.

Bowen University is extremely expensive, with annual tuition prices ranging from N450,000 to N1.3 million.

CONCLUSION

The schools listed above provide excellent education, but they are not federal or state-run. It’s also worth noting that the tuition costs for these most expensive universities are subject to change.
