1. Lagos Reopen Gyms, Cinemas others
The Lagos State Government has approved the Reopening of Gyms and Cinemas in the state.
Governor Sanwo-Olu made this known during the COVID-19 update at the state house, Marina.
They are, however, expected to reopen with a capacity of just 33 per cent.
“Henceforth, cinemas and gyms are permitted to reopen as soon as possible, with a maximum of 33% occupancy, which means that there must be a minimum of two empty seats between occupied seats; and in the case of gyms, there must be constant disinfection of machines and equipment throughout the course of the day,” Governor Sanwo-Olu said. 2. NCDC Confirms 189 New Cases of Coronavirus
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed one-hundred and eighty-nine (189) new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19). The agency made this known in a post on its Twitter page on Saturday night.
3. Lagos Okays Churches, Mosques To Resume Full Services
The Lagos state government led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has permitted churches and mosques in the southwest state to resume full services.

Fiver local government Pension Board officials have been apprehended in Bauchi State for allegedly involved in condemnable acts which include criminal conspiracy, breach of trust, misappropriation, forgery and fraud. The development was confirmed in a statement on Saturday, September 19 by the spokesman of the State Police Command, DSP Ahmed Wakili.

6. Lagos Govt Releases Academic Calendar For 2020/2021 Session
According to a statement by the Office of Education Quality Assurance, the Ministry of Education said that schools below tertiary level will resume First Term academic activities on the 21st of September, while the term will end on the 18th of December.
The Director-General, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Mrs Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, said the resumption date for the second term is January 4, 2021, adding that it will end on April 6 while that of the third term runs from May 4 through August 6.
Following the approval of the Academic Calendar for 2020/2021 , The DG of Education further appealed to stakeholders to have a qualitative health and safety plan that will help protect students, teachers and workers as schools reopen in the state. Read More Here

Godwin Obaseki ‘ has expressed his displeasure over the electoral conduct of the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) in the ongoing Edo gubernatorial election.
GoldenNewsNg reports that after casting his vote at polling unit 19, ward 4, Oredo local government area of the state, Obaseki , who is also the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, complained about the delay experienced in the voting exercise.
