1. Boko haram attack Borno State governor’s convoy killing 15
Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, on Friday was ambushed in his convoy that had about 15 persons killed by the dreaded Boko haram
The governor and his adjoining convoy was attacked between Monguno and Baga areas of Borno State.

2. Boko Haram: Death Toll In Borno Governor’s Convoy Attack Rises To 30
30 people have now died after the convoy of Borno State Governors, Babagana Zulum, was attacked by Boko Haram terrorists.
Security sources have revealed to AFP that the number of fatalities from the attack Friday had doubled as more bodies were found and now included 12 policemen, five soldiers, four members of a government-backed militia, and nine civilians.

Leader of the Afenifere group, a Pan-African Yoruba faction, Ayo Adebanjo, has said that the upcoming Nigeria Independence anniversary on October 1 is not worth celebrating because the dreams of the founding fathers were not achieved.
The elder gave his opinion in an interview with Punch over what Nigeria at 60 meant for the country and the strides achieved.
When asked if he felt that the anniversary was worth marking, Adebanjo said, “It’s not worth celebrating at all because we have not achieved the dream of our founding fathers, particularly after the intervention of the military.”
On the reviewing of the country’s current constitution, he said that “We can’t review a constitution we didn’t make. That constitution was imposed by the military. So, it’s a total cancellation. You can only review or revise what you gave not a constitution we didn’t take part in.

6. Ex minister strips hotel workers naked for stealing N5,000
A group of human rights lawyers in Warri, is seeking compensation for four hotel workers who were allegedly stripped naked by their employer.
They had been accused of stealing the sum of 5,000 but local media are reporting that they had been tipped by some guests.
The four, three women and a man, were allegedly ordered to undress and were left wearing only their knickers or underpants as others, including the police, looked on.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has revealed that he is not giving up on the actualization of a sovereign Biafra republic.
The IPOB leader in a statement on Saturday, 26th September 2020, added that apart from Biafra, he is also looking forward to the actualization of an independent Oduduwa republic, Kwararafa republic (Middle Belt), and a return of the Kanem-Bornu empire.

The Ebonyi State Government on Friday called on the people of the State to go about their normal businesses and ignore the call made by the leadership of outlawed the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB for people to sit at home on October 1, 2020,
IPOB had, through its Spokesman, Emma Powerful called on Biafrans at home and in diaspora to sit at home on October 1, 2020.
The controversial group said the sit-at-home order was aimed at expressing displeasure over the bad governance being experienced in Nigeria.
But Commissioner for Internal Security and Border Peace in Ebonyi state, Stanley Emegha cautioned IPOB in Abakaliki, describing their call as the height of craziness.
“How can you tell people who have families to sit at home? Will you come and put food on their tables,” Emegha contested according to Vanguard.
“In the first place, we don’t even know if their is anything like IPOB existing in the State. People should disregard the said statement and go about their normal businesses on that day”.
