The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Farouq disclosed this on Friday at an event commemorating National IDPs Day in Abuja.

3. The Lagos State Police Command yesterday confirmed that the autopsy conducted on the corpse of Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of Davido and his fiancée, Chioma Rowland, showed that the three-years-old child died due to drowning. The development was disclosed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, on Saturday.

4. There was disquiet in the hometown of Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Iperu-Remoland, following the death of two persons over boundary dispute. The lingering boundary dispute was between Ogere, a neighbouring community, and Abiodun’s hometown in Ikenne Local Government Area. Violence broke out on Thursday when youths from Iperu and Ogere towns engaged themselves in a fight.

5. Members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Friday protested in Aba, Abia State over the non-release of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu by the Federal Government.
Reports said that the protesters, including women and numbering over 500, vowed not to allow the 2023 election hold in the Southeast if their leader was not released and Biafra granted them.
