Two police officers have been confirmed dead after a road accident occured in the convoy carrying former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
The accident which occured at Oluku junction along the busy Benin-Lagos highway also had two passengers sustaining injuries.
The former APC National Chairman’s convoy was going for a party campaign ahead of the Sept. 19 governorship election at Usen in Ovia Southwest Local Government Area.
As a result of the accident, the APC candidate of the State, Osagie Ize-Iyamu has called off the rally.
According to eye witness, a trailer carrying a container ran into one of the vehicles in the convoy, killing the two police officers on the spot.
