For JAMB (UTME) applicants seeking admission to Uniport, the following criteria must be met:

  • A minimum of five Ordinary Level Credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects to your desired course, obtained in no more than two sittings from Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE).
  • The appropriate JAMB subject combination must be chosen to align with your desired course of study.
  • To be eligible for consideration for admission to the University of Port Harcourt, applicants must have obtained a minimum score of 180 in the recent Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) UTME examination.
  • Uniport must be the first or most preferred choice during the JAMB registration process.
  • Participation in the Uniport POST UTME/SCREENING is mandatory for admission consideration in the upcoming academic year.
  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

Uniport Requirements For Direct Entry (DE) 2023/2024

  • A minimum of five Ordinary Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects to your desired program, obtained in no more than two sittings from Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE).
  • A’Level or IJMB passes in two subjects related to the chosen field of study.
  • Passing scores in related JUPEB/A-Level subjects.
  • A degree (First Class/Second Upper) in a field relevant to the desired course of study.
  • Direct Entry applicants must obtain the Uniport Direct Entry form from both the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the Uniport Portal.
  • Merit Pass is the minimum requirement for the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), and other Advanced Level Certificates.
