This is to inform the University community that Monday, January 2, 2023, and Tuesday, December 26, 2022, have been declared public holidays by the Federal Government of Nigeria to commemorate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and Boxing Day, respectively.
As a result, Prof. Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, Vice Chancellor, has approved that the University will be closed on Thursday, December 22, 2022, through Monday, January 2, 2023. Therefore, these days should not be used for any academic or official duties.
However, all essential staff members will continue to carry out their responsibilities as scheduled. The Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the Management of the University, wishes all employees and stakeholders of the University of Uyo a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Heads of the relevant departments are expected to make alternate arrangements when it is convenient for such staff to enjoy their holiday.
Normal work will resume on Tuesday January 3, 2023
