General Admission Requirements for PGD, Masters, and Ph.D. Students at UNIABUJA: The following are the general entry requirements for the PGD, Masters, and Ph.D. programs offered by UNIABUJA:
- Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) credits, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings of the WASC NECO GCE (Ordinary Level) or its equivalent.
- For M.A., M.Ed., M.Eng., MVPH, MVPM, and M.Sc. degrees, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least second class lower division in the relevant discipline.
- Ph.D. candidates must have obtained a minimum weighted average score of 60% (4 points) or letter grade “B” average performance in the Master’s Degree.
- Candidates with a master’s degree from another university must complete required courses with a minimum grade of “B” or 60% (4 points) if they haven’t previously covered similar content.
- Candidates applying for postgraduate diploma programs must possess a university degree with a minimum grade of third class or HND with a minimum of Lower Credit.
- Specific requirements exist for certain programs such as MPH Community Medicine, which requires an MBBS or BDS degree, and MPH Sexual and Reproductive Health, which requires a health-related degree.
Note: Ph.D. candidates should submit a research proposal of maximum 500 words.
