The management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially released the admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session. Candidates who applied for admission and participated in the UNIBEN Post-UTME screening exercise are advised to check their names on the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) to confirm their admission status.
This announcement brings relief to thousands of prospective students who have been eagerly waiting to know their fate after sitting for the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the subsequent screening exercise conducted by the institution.

Important Instructions for Admitted Candidates
-
Candidates who have been successfully offered admission must accept or reject the admission offer through the JAMB portal. This is done by sending ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number linked to their JAMB profile.
-
Failure to accept admission within the stipulated period may lead to the forfeiture of the offer.
-
After accepting admission on JAMB CAPS, candidates are also expected to proceed with the University of Benin admission clearance process, which includes payment of the acceptance fee and online clearance on the school’s portal.
For Candidates Not Yet Admitted
-
If your status shows “Admission Still in Progress” or “Not Admitted”, do not panic. Admission is released in batches, and candidates are encouraged to keep checking the JAMB CAPS portal regularly as more lists will be uploaded.
-
It is also advised to ensure that you have uploaded your O’level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) on the JAMB portal, as failure to do so may hinder admission.
