Guidelines for the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) Change of Degree Form 2023
- Applications for the Change of Degree Program should be submitted at the end of each session. The processing of these applications must be completed within one month from the beginning of the new session.
- To change from one department to another, students must have a minimum GPA of 1.00. However, each department may set its own minimum cutoff GPA for accepting students through the Change of Degree Program.
- The Admissions Office will verify the eligibility of students applying for new departments and process the applications of those listed in the payment schedule. Candidates must submit a printed copy of their change of degree application, a copy of their O/Level Result, and their result checker (WAEC/NECO scratch card(s)) to the Admissions Office.
- The movement of the list of Applications for Change of Degree between the Admissions Office and the faculties should be done in batches, and students should not be involved in this process.
- Only those who have completed the process within the stipulated period will be registered in their new departments. There will be no carryover of the process to another session.
- The only accepted form of payment for the Change of Degree Program is as indicated in the application procedure. No other forms of payment should be made or collected.
Procedure for Application for Change of Degree
- Eligible candidates should visit the University of Nigeria website (www.unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.unn.edu.ng).
- Log in with your Registration number to generate and download a unique payment invoice. Take this invoice to any bank that supports e-transact.
- Use the payment invoice to pay an application processing fee of N75,000.00.
- Ensure that the invoice number is correctly entered at the bank and obtain a confirmation slip containing a confirmation number and invoice number.
- To complete the Change of Degree Form online, visit the University of Nigeria website or portal and log in with your Registration number, Confirmation number, and Invoice number.
Note: Failure to register within the stipulated period or complete the forms online will result in non-processing of your application.
