UNN Inter-University Transfer Form 2023/2024 Academic Session

 

Goldennewsng wishes to inform you that the management of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) has commenced the sale of its Inter-University transfer forms for the 2023/2024 academic session. Prospective candidates interested in applying for transfer are advised to visit the school portal to purchase the form, complete the application, and submit it accordingly. It is important to note that applications submitted after the specified closing date set by the management will not be considered.

On this page, we have provided comprehensive information regarding the transfer eligibility and the application process to assist you in your UNN Inter-University academic pursuit. These details serve as a crucial point of reference for your application.

UNN Inter-University Transfer Eligibility:

  1. Transfer students must meet the minimum entry requirements of the University of Nigeria Nsukka and the respective department from which they are seeking transfer.
  2. Transfer students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.95 on a 5.00 point scale to qualify for consideration. Additionally, they should not have spent more than two (2) academic sessions at their former university.
  3. The number of students offered admission through transfer should not exceed 4% of the departmental admission quota in any given year.
  4. The application must be accompanied by the student’s transcript. The University of Nigeria officials will verify the transcript either by visiting the university or through online verification.
  5. If any irregularities are discovered in the documents presented by the student, appropriate action will be taken, including withdrawal from the University.
  6. Any University officer found colluding or circumventing the transfer process will face disciplinary action.
  7. Transfer students are required to possess a JAMB score that is not lower than the minimum score of UNN students admitted into their department in the year of admission.
  8. Transfer students must transfer into the same course they studied at their previous university.
  9. Transfer students will not be admitted beyond the second (2nd) year for any program at the University.
  10. A transfer student must be a current student of the University from which they are seeking transfer.
  11. All applications for inter-University transfer for the 2023/2024 academic session should be submitted on or before 17th June 2023.
  12. All recommendations for admission through transfer from the faculty will be collated and presented to the Senate Entrance Board for consideration by the Admissions Office.

How to Apply for UNN Inter-University Transfer Form 2023/2024:

  1. Visit the University of Nigeria website (www.unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.edu.ng) and log in using your telephone number to generate and download a unique Payment Invoice for the Application Processing Fee.
  2. Pay the application fee of N195,000.00 (one hundred and ninety-five thousand naira) through the Remita payment platform at any commercial bank.
  3. Generate a payment invoice containing a Remita number. The invoice printout will enable you to make the payment at the bank.
  4. Visit the University of Nigeria website or portal (www.unn.edu.ng or unnportal.unn.edu.ng) again and log in with your telephone and invoice numbers. Complete the Inter-University Transfer Form online.
  5. Print the form and submit it, along with a copy of your O/Level Results and Result Checker (WAEC/NECO Scratch card(s)), to the Registry (Admissions). Also, forward the last page of the form to your current university’s Registrar for completion to confirm your release.
  6. The release form should be sent by your current Registrar to the Registrar, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
  7. The student’s transcript should be forwarded from the current university to the Registrar, UNN.

Note: Please ensure that you complete the form online as forms not completed through the online process will not be processed.
