The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reportedly closed its case of alleged certificate forgery leveled against Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.

GoldenNewsNg gathered that at the resumed hearing of the suit on Monday before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, the plaintiff’s counsel, Akin Olujimi, concluded their case with the cross-examination of an expert witness, Raphael Onwuzuligbo, a retired Assistant Superintendent of Police and a forensic document examiner.

In his testimony during cross-examination by counsels to Obaseki and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the witness said the University of Ibadan (UI) logo on the governor’s certificate appears to have been compromised.

He also insisted that the signature of the Vice-Chancellor of the university was missing from the certificate not because the document was poorly scanned but that it was actually missing.

Lawyer to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olujimi said that the testimony of the witness further proved their case against Obaseki as Justice Ahmed Mohammed adjourned further hearing till January 5, to enable the governor and the PDP open their defence.

Furthermore, it has been gathered that one Mr. ThankGod Iduseri, a  Brother to a key witness in  forgery trial against Governor Obaseki, fatally shot.
An online reporter in Edo , Chris Osa Media wrote;

In less than twenty-four hours after Engr.Gabriel Iduseri testified in a forgery and perjury case against Governor Godwin Obaseki in a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, his brother, Mr. ThankGod Iduseri was fatally shot in Benin City.
ThankGod was reportedly shot in the early hours of Tuesday outside his home in less than 24 hours when his brother testified against Governor Godwin Obaseki in an ongoing trial in Abuja is recuperating in an undisclosed medical facility.
Besides, the witness, Engr. Iduseri told reporters that he has been receiving series of threat calls after his testimony in court.
Responding, the APC Caretaker Committee Chairman, Col. David Imuse (Rtd) said, “Engr. Gabriel Iduseri who is one of our witnesses and who testified at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja yesterday over a case of forgery and perjury preferred against Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state, had his brother, Mr. ThankGod Iduseri shot this morning. This is quite unfortunate.
