What to Know About the TVET Trainee Portal Upload Message

Many applicants have been asking whether the recent upload notification on the TVET platform is meant for trainers or trainees. Here’s the clarification you need.

The message comes directly from the Trainee Portal (https://www.tvet.education.gov.ng/), not the trainers’ portal. This means the instruction is strictly for trainees.

What the Notification Means

Trainees are being asked to upload proof of prior learning related to their chosen skill area. For example, in one case, the skill was Livestock Farming (Bee Keeping, Poultry & Animal Husbandry) with a unique application ID attached.

Documents You Can Upload

Applicants are expected to provide valid supporting documents such as:

  • Certificates

  • Diplomas

  • Transcripts

  • Other recognized evidence of prior learning

File Requirements

  • Accepted formats: PDF, JPG, PNG

  • Maximum file size: 10MB

Once uploaded and submitted, the documents will be reviewed as part of the application process.

If you are a trainee, this message applies to you, and you need to act accordingly. Trainers have a separate portal and process, so they are not required to upload documents in accordance with this instruction.
