Why Peter Obi may not win 2023 presidential election by Irabor Wisdom.

Mr. Peter Obi seems to be romancing the Church, considering the anticipated support he believes will come from the Christian body in Nigeria.

However, the Nigerian Church and fathers we know will never instruct anyone as to who they should vote for.

This is just the singular reason President, Goodluck Jonathan, lost his seat to Mr. Muhammadu Buhari, even though the former was an incumbent President.

All Christain Fathers agreed to present Goodluck Jonathan as the consensus candidate for both the CAN, PFN and individual churches.

With some of the fathers also instructing their congregations to vote for Goodluck Jonathan.

But at the end of the day, the entire Christian leaders were divided between Yemi Osinbajo and Goodluck Jonathan.

This is why Some of the Christian leaders in Nigeria may remain very quiet for a long time especially because the Christian leaders themselves brought Nigerians into the present quagmire we find ourselves as a nation.

THREE STEPS TO BE PUT IN PLACE:

THAT I KNOW VERY WELL CAN NEVER BE PUT IN PLACE:

1. All Christian fathers and leaders must instruct their congregation to vote for Peter Obi. Not minding the different political groups in those churches. Most of them won’t do this, because of their personal interest. Some have even collected money from other political parties.

2. Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, (PFN) Must make it a law that all churches under their umbrella must vote for Peter Obi. For selfish reasons, they won’t still do this. Individual interests will come in.

3. Daddy Adeboye, Bishop Oyedepo, and Rev Chris Oyakhilome who may have membership of over a million and above in Nigeria should publicly ask their members, in particular, to vote for Peter Obi. This they will never do also. Because they are too educated for such a primordial approach and members of opposite parties in those churches may relinquish their membership.

WHAT THEN BECOMES THE FATE OF THOSE OF US THAT ARE OBEDIENT AND USEFUL?

Let all Nigerians that are obedient and useful come all out to vote for their conscience and let the will of God be done.

Let me conclude by saying, Money is so powerful, when it comes from a wrong candidate as a bribe to a kingmaker that is very poor, the wrong choice may find his way to the throne.

But let money fail this time in the hands of all the enemies of a better Nigeria.

God bless Nigeria.
