Akorede Babatunde Okunola, the fuji musician better known as Saheed Osupa is not happy with the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde.
Insiders disclose to GoldennewsNG that Osupa is making his grouse known with increasing snide remarks against the Governor in his performances.
GoldennewsNG gathered that at the root of the musician’s anger is the governor not rewarding his support.
Saheed Osupa was one of those that put their skin on the line for Makinde to become the Governor of Oyo state.
The fuji musician was virtually a permanent fixture in Oyo state throwing his musical weight behind Makinde who was the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), one of the opposition parties during the campaign for the election that brought him to power.
Sources disclosed that Osupa is angry that Taye Currency – real Taye Adebisi – a fuji musician of lesser influence but based in Ibadan, Oyo state has been rewarded by Makinde with an appointment.
Taye Currency’s son, Yusuf Adebisi is also the deputy chief whip of the Oyo state House of Assembly.
Sources disclosed that after waiting for over a year for Makinde to reward his support like he did Taye Currency and nothing was forthcoming, Saheed Osupa has now taken his displeasure with the governor to the public space with snide remarks and proverbial insults.
