Nigerian entertainer and hotelier, Cubana Chief Priest real name Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu has urged youths not to put their hope on protests in the quest of seeking change.
Recall that millions of youths around the country have continued to call for the resignation of several government officials, on the grounds the youths should be given an avenue to govern.
Cubana has joined the ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC and he has already received his membership certificate. According to him, the youths shouldn’t depend on protest alone. He stressed that the time has come for the youths to play politics with the elders.
He added that they have the brain, clout, energy, fame and above all the support of God. Taking to his Instagram page on Friday, February 19, he shared a video of him receiving his certificate of membership at Orlu, Imo State.
He wrote;
“APC🧹 With My Full Chest, Naija🇳🇬 Youths Make We No Depend On Protest, It’s Time To Do This Politics With These Old Men, We Have The Energy, We Have The Clout, We Have The Brain, We Have The Fame And Above All We Have God On Our Side.
“Register Now, It’s Time To Change The Changer, Let’s Fight Them From The Inside #CelebrityBarMan💫”
Meanwhile, many Nigerians have reacted to the the actions of Cubana. Although some have supported this move, others have condemned it.
