₦75,000 CCT Process Begins – Check If You’re Eligible!

Lagos State is leading the way in rolling out the ₦75,000 Conditional Cash Transfer program initiated by the Federal Government. As of April 2025, over 130,000 households in Lagos have been enrolled, bringing real hope to thousands affected by Nigeria’s recent economic reforms.

  • Which areas in Lagos have the highest number of enrolled families

  • Who qualifies for the cash transfer

  • How to check if your household is eligible

What Is the ₦75,000 FG Cash Transfer Program?

This Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) is part of President Tinubu’s economic relief efforts for low-income families. It is being handled by the Presidential Panel for Economic Relief and targets those badly hit by:

  • Fuel subsidy removal

  • Rising cost of food and transportation

  • Exchange rate reforms

  • Inflation and job losses

Qualified families will receive ₦75,000 in three installments — ₦25,000 each — to help cushion the current economic pressure

Lagos Leads the Enrollment with 130,000+ Households

At a recent press briefing in Alausa, Ikeja, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Ope George, confirmed that:

“Over 130,000 households have been successfully added to the Lagos State Single Social Register, which feeds into the national database for government support programs.”

This massive progress reflects how proactive Lagos is in ensuring relief reaches those who truly need it.

Top LGAs with the Highest Enrollments

According to the latest update, here are the top-performing local government areas (LGAs) in Lagos:

LGA Households Enrolled
Ikorodu 16,418
Alimosho 14,964
Mushin 10,712

These three alone contribute a significant portion of the total 130,000 registered families.

Data Update Ongoing Across Lagos

The data update and verification exercise officially started on April 9, 2025, and is still ongoing in all 57 local governments and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in Lagos.

The Commissioner emphasized that:

“Every beneficiary must have a valid NIN and their updated details. This is to stop fraud and ensure the money reaches the real people who need it.”

Who Can Receive the ₦75,000 Cash Transfer?

To qualify for this support package, here’s what you need:

✅ Be listed in the National Social Register (NSR)
✅ Provide a valid National Identification Number (NIN)
✅ Submit correct household location details
✅ Be categorized as low-income or vulnerable

💡 If your household was recently registered during the update, your chances are high.

Is Registration Still Open?

Yes! According to Lagos officials, the State Operation Coordinating Unit and other registration teams are still updating the register.

If your household hasn’t been captured yet:

  • Reach out to your community leaders

  • Visit your Local Government Secretariat

  • Make sure your NIN and address are up to date

New names are being added daily, especially from underserved communities.

Why This ₦75,000 Relief Matters

Let’s face it — times are hard. With skyrocketing fuel prices, transport costs, and rising inflation, many families are struggling.

This cash transfer program is:

  • A lifeline for struggling households

  • A temporary relief from economic pressure

  • A way to ensure fair distribution of national support

Ope George made it clear:

“We want to make sure no one is left out. We will keep adding new families and supporting them as more relief packages come in.”

What Should You Do Now?

🔹 Check if your name is in the National Social Register
🔹 Visit your local officials for update support
🔹 Confirm your NIN and household address are accurate
🔹 Stay alert for text messages or announcements

The ₦75,000 payment is real, ongoing, and life-changing — especially for those most affected by Nigeria’s tough economic policies

If you live in Lagos and your household is facing serious economic hardship, this is the time to act. Get your NIN ready, verify your details, and make sure you’re not left out of this major relief program.

More cash support might still be coming — stay informed and stay hopeful.
