Zamfara State Governor sacks 21 permanent secretaries

Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle of Zamfara State has ravaged twenty one out of his forty seven permanent secretaries and declared the creation of seven new Directorates within the state.

According to a press release by the state government, the affected secretaries were discharged for being unqualified for the position.

Zamfara State Governor sacks 21 permanent secretaries

A report by the committee constituted for the restructuring of the state officialdom submitted to Governor Matawalle on the ninth of Oct 2019, the committee said it’s worrisome that the state that has solely seventeen ministries and fourteen local government areas may be in operation with forty seven permanent secretaries.

Governor Matawalle in a very broad broadcast, additionally declared that he accepted the recommendations for the restructuring of ministries from the present nineteen to eleven.

All assessments have shown that our state contains a so much larger range of permanent secretaries than any of our sister states within the north-west, speech that with forty seven permanent secretaries, the system has become saturated and loaded down.” ‘
