According to Gov. Bello Matawalle, the state of Zamfara is safe and peaceful for the 2023 elections, despite security concerns.
Goldennewsng reports that during a press conference at his country home in the Maradun Local Government Area of the state, where he was addressing topics such as the N30,000 minimum wage for state civil servants and other issues, the governor made this disclosure.
In an effort to bring peace, order, and stability back to Nigeria, Governor Matawalle urged citizens to continue providing security agencies with support.
He denied rumors that northerners will only support a northern presidential candidate and stated that he does not know where the information that the forthcoming elections would be postponed due to insecurity came from.
The Governor mentioned that his administration had implemented the N30,000 minimum wage and is planning to provide housing for workers in an effort to improve their well-being so that they can work to their full potential.
