While addressing the crowd that filled the Bida township stadium, Bida Niger state, the PDP governorship candidate promised to ensure total peace, improve security, and general development in the state if elected.

According to Kantigi “I pledge to continue on the path of peace, food security, advancement in education and ensure a robust security management system.”

While urging the people to get their PVCs and ensure they vote him and other candidates into power, he said “I will fix the Minna-Bida road in my first one hundred days in office”.

In his welcome remarks State Chairman of the Party, Barrister Tanko Beji charged Nigerlites to vote in all candidates of the PDP for a better Niger state.

In his goodwill message, former Governor Babangida Aliyu reminded the people that, when he was Governor between 2007 and 2015 the people did not appreciate his good works but now, they are crying calling for rescue.

Accordingly, he said “the only way to rescue Niger state is to vote in Abubakar Atiku as President, Kantigi as Governor and other candidates vying for various positions”.

“We have heard Buhari said top to bottom, now we’ve seen how APC has taken us truly fro the top to bottom. But we, as PDP we will return our country back to where they met it and rebuild on it.

“The APC government stopped scholarship, free education and ruined our educational system, but when we emerge, we will reintroduce free education”.

“When PDP come back everything will level up, especially the prices of goods and services”.

Highlights of the event was the burning of brooms, symbolizing the defection of over one hundred persons to the PDP and celebration of APC’s defeat in advance.

Amongst those present are former Governor of Niger state, Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu, Prof Jerry Gana, former Deputy Governors Dr. Shem Nuhu Zagbayi and Amb. Hon. Ahmed Musa Ibeto who recently decamped from the APC.

Others are chairman of the PDP in Niger State, Barrister Tanko Beji, Senator Zaynab Kure, wife of late Governor Abdulkadir Kure, former Minister Abubakar Achituwo, all PDP gubernatorial aspirants.
