COVID 19, Insecurity: “My people couldn’t celebrate Eid-El Fitr” – Sen. Sani Musa laments

The Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District in Niger State, Mohammed Sani Musa said the security challenges 
bedevilling his senatorial district and the novel Coronavirus pandemic made Eid-El Fitr celebration difficult for his people, but urged them not to despair.
While congratulating Muslim Faithfuls on the conclusion of Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitri, Senator Sani Musa said with the two problems in place the people could only celebrate the festivity on a low key as their lives are largely affected.
The lawmaker in Sallah message he issued out, urged Muslims in Niger East Senatorial District to continue to pray for the peace and unity of the area and Niger State as a whole.
He encouraged the people not to lose hope, but to remain positive in the face of the current challenges.
He expressed optimism that the COVID-19 pandemic would be overcome in no distant time, but enjoined the people to abide by the guidelines provided by the state and federal governments and the World Health Organization.
On the security challenges in five local government areas under Niger East Senatorial District, namely Shiroro, Rafi, Munya, Paikoro and Tafa, Senator Sani Musa reiterated his commitment to restoring lasting peace to the area through continuous interface with the federal government and heads of security agencies in the country.
He called on the people to remain calm and continue to support the government in the state to achieve the transformation agenda lined up by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, himself and other lawmakers in the state.
