Mr. Yusuf who is a member of a vigilante group in Jada Local Government Area has been shot dead by his stepson, Suugbomsumen Adamu, while testing gun charms.
GoldenNewsNg reports that the deceased put the Dane gun to his stomach and compelled the 19-year-old suspect to shoot it.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the incident on Thursday. He assured that whoever is found wanting would be prosecuted.
Nguroje cautioned the general public to desist from using firearms and advised those bearing them to strictly abide by the rules and regulations for the safety of their lives and those of others.
