According to reports an Upper High Court sitting in Kano State have sentenced a 72 years old Mr Audi Mati to death by stoning.
It is how ever understood that during his trial the sitting Judge Abdullahi Sani Sarki Yola however gave him the chance to appeal the trial.
Inspite of these, Mr Audu Mati who pleaded guilty stated that he was not willing to appeal the judgement but ready to face the consequences of the law by stoning him to death.
In his words Mr Audu Mati stated “I accept it’s my fault for defiling an underaged and I’m willing to face the consequences of the actions by hanging to death”
