#NigeriaElections2023, Violence erupts at Oba Elegushi palace as hoodlums snatch ballot boxes
Thugs reportedly attacked a polling station outside the Oba Elegushi Palace in Eti-Osa, Lekki, Lagos State, on Saturday afternoon, stealing ballot boxes and chasing away the Independent National Electoral Commission’s presiding officer.
On condition of anonymity, a local resident stated, “The information I’m getting is that the violence erupted outside the Oba’s palace.”
Everyone fled when the ballot boxes were taken away. The area is still populated by criminals.
Additionally, a well-known tweeter user named Samuel Otigba, who cast his ballot in the palace’s polling unit, wrote, “The vote outside the palace was scattered by area boys.” Jacked ballot boxes. sped away from the officer in charge.
“They also physically assaulted @EditiEffiong Because he was recording the entire incident. they saw him and started to chase him, he tried to run into the palace, but they locked the gate. This is insane. Here, the police officers stood idly by and did nothing. They deleted the video from his phone. He revealed.
