Numerous applicants for the positions of Enumerator and Supervisor Adhoc Staff have been eagerly anticipating the new training date following the indefinite postponement of the initial training. The National Population Commission (NPC) had announced on April 11th, 2023 that the training, originally scheduled to commence on April 13th, 2023, had been put on hold to address emerging issues resulting from a hack on the NPC website.
The NPC had stated that a new date for the training would be announced only after the commission had secured absolute protection of its server.
However, on April 13th, 2023, certain online publications claimed that the new training date had been set for April 17th, 2023. The NPC has since dismissed the claim as false and unofficial, clarifying that the commission is yet to fix a new date for the training.
The commission recently disclosed that its Digital Chairman, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra, visited the 2023 Census Functionaries List Finalisation Team in Abuja to urge the team to harmonize the field functionaries list before commencing LGA-Level training.
The commission plans to develop a payment schedule for the field functionaries and design modalities to update the final trainee list during the training to expedite payment. The commission has stated that once these measures are in place, a new date for the training of Enumerators and Supervisors will be determined.
