Birth Registration Staff Pay and Job Description
Following the Birth Registration project, some states have finished training staff, while others are still training. People who want to work as Birth Registration Staff are asking about how much they will be paid for the 2023 Birth Registration project.
What is Birth Registration?
Birth Registration is a partnership between the United Nations (UNICEF), the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), and the National Population Commission (NPC). The goal is to register at least 12 million children under 5 years old in Nigeria. The main point is to give kids birth certificates that show their names and where they’re from.
The NPC is very important for this partnership. The Chairman of NPC, Mr. Nasir Isa Kwarra, said they will help pick temporary birth registrars and make sure they have what they need. They will also work with local leaders and communities to show how important birth registration is. They will collect and look at digital birth registration info.
UNICEF is also helping. They know a lot about helping kids. They will give advice and help make sure kids are registered. They will use technology and talk to people in the community to get kids registered.
The NYSC, NPC, and UNICEF are working together to make sure people understand how important birth registration is. They want kids to be registered in hospitals and in the community. They will work with leaders to help the registration process.
Payment for Birth Registration Staff
People who work as Birth Registration Staff don’t all get paid the same. It depends on the person in charge of each state. But in all states, Birth Registration Staff get paid between N6,500 and N10,000.
Salary for Birth Registration Staff
The salary for Birth Registration Staff depends on how much they work. The NPC said each Birth Registration Staff will get N100 for each child they register. This means if they register 2,000 kids, they will get N200,000. If they register 500 kids, they will get N50,000. It’s not a fixed salary; it depends on how much work they do.
How Long the Registration Lasts
The Birth Registration will go on for 15 days. In this time, many kids will be registered. But if they don’t register enough kids, they might extend it a few more days.
