The National Population Commission (NPC) has taken a significant step to improve birth registration in Nigeria through the release of shortlisted candidates for the e-recruitment of ad hoc staff. The NPC website provides a PDF list of registered applicants from various states across the country.

The e-recruitment, held in 2023, aims to hire qualified individuals with SSCE, Diploma, NCE, HND, BSC, and NYSC Corps members qualifications. These selected ad hoc staff will play a vital role in supporting the digital birth registration process.

To ensure easy access, the list of registered applicants is categorized by state. If your state’s list is not available yet, please refresh the page periodically as it will be uploaded soon.

The NPC has announced that the next phase of the recruitment process will include a screening exercise conducted within each state. Information about the screening exercise’s date and time will be communicated through the NPC website.

Once the recruitment process is successfully completed, the appointed applicants will be assigned to various wards across Nigeria to contribute to the digital birth registration process.

The introduction of the digital birth registration process marks a significant advancement in Nigeria’s efforts to enhance birth registration procedures. It aims to simplify the registration process for parents and ensure that all children in the country obtain a birth certificate.

If you have registered as an applicant, you can check the NPC website for the list of shortlisted candidates. For updates on the subsequent stages of the recruitment process, follow the NPC on social media platforms.
