Former Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel is now a free agent. This follows the termination of his contract by his club, Al Kuwait SC for yet to be disclosed reasons.
Mikel joined the club after a spell at Championship side, Stoke City. He had 12 months left on his contract with the Kuwait club having penned a one-year deal that was supposed to keep him at the club for the 2021-22 season.
