Nigerian comedian and social celebrity Alibaba has come out tough against the government of Nigeria for deciding to lift the lock down that was earlier imposed to curtail the spread of the deadly corona virus which has killed thousands of people all over the world and killed over 50 in Nigeria.
Globally the lifting of lock down is recommended only when the spread has be limited and the curve has been flattened. Nigeria currently has over 2000 confirmed cases of covid19 but it has decided to lift the lock down because of fear of economic hardship and the high cost of providing palliatives.
But Alibaba does not see it that way rather he argues that the government has decided to lift the lock down because it does not care about who lives or who dies. Alibaba who has been at the forefront of enlightening members of the public on how to stay safe from the corona virus has been overly critical of the governments handling of the health crises and have called on all Nigerians to take the responsibility for their own lives.
