Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has finally left the club to join Sevilla on loan until the end of the season.
The LaLiga side have agreed to cover the Frenchman’s wages though there is understood to be no option to buy him permanently at the end of the deal.
A statement on the Manchester United website read: ‘Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has joined Sevilla FC on loan for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.
‘The Frenchman completed a medical in Andalusia, after the two clubs agreed terms for his temporary transfer.’
Sevilla’s official club statement read: “Sevilla FC and Manchester United FC have reached an agreement which will see Anthony Martial, born in Massy, France on 5th December 1995, join the club on loan until the end of the current season.
“The club have completed a major signing and have strengthened their attacking options, with the player able to play either as a striker or on either flank, preferably on the left, where he can cut inside. ”
