The 2024 Boma Prize for Africa Contest beckons small businesses, entrepreneurs, and startups to showcase the viability and scalability of their ventures. It’s more than just a competition; it’s a platform to catapult innovative ideas into reality.

Eligibility Criteria: Are You Ready?

    • To ensure a fair evaluation process, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
      • Completion of the Boma Consult Entrepreneurial Certification Program (BCECP) with a valid certificate.
      • Possession of a small business and a well-defined business plan.
      • Business or company existence for over a year with a tangible impact on the community.
      • School Teams consisting of 3 – 5 members, all from the same university, with an option for one member from a different university.
      • Minimum age requirement of 18 years for all participants.

Who Can Apply?

  • Open Invitation
    • Eligibility extends to individuals residing in Africa, aged 18 and above, whose projects significantly benefit African communities.
    • Innovators, entrepreneurs, and changemakers focusing on sustainable development, technological innovation, cultural preservation, social entrepreneurship, or educational advancement are encouraged to apply.

    • All applicants must adhere strictly to the rules for video entries to qualify for the contest. Compliance ensures fairness and equal opportunity for all participants.

Important Note: BEP Certificate Requirement

  • Key Criterion
    • A vital aspect of eligibility is possession of the Boma Consult Entrepreneurial Certification Program (BEP) certificate. Only applicants with a valid BEP certificate will be considered for the Boma Prize for Africa competition.
