In connection with the killing of Omobolanle Raheem, a female real estate consultant and lawyer, on Christmas Day in the Ajah region of the state, a Lagos State Magistrate Court sitting in Yaba has ordered the Police Officer, ASP Drambi Vandi, to be remanded in custody.
Goldennewsng reports that the defendant was remanded by Chief Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun after the Lagos State government filed a murder charge against him.
Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN, the attorney general of Lagos State, had brought a single charge of murder against the officer who killed Raheem, ASP Drambi Vandi.
In accordance with Section 264 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos, 2015, the Attorney General presented an application to the Court for the defendant’s remand.
