BREAKING: APC VP, Shettima Seeks Extension Of Voting In Maiduguri| See Why below.
Report has it that the Vice Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Kashim Shettima, has asked for the extension of voting time in Maiduguri, Borno State capital.
This request is coming after he angrily left his polling unit over the absence of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Shettima and Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, reportedly arrived at the Polling Unit at 9:58 am but left minutes later as they noticed that no official or election material was available.
The INEC officials eventually arrived at the Kukawa unit (PU 021) Lamisula Jabbamari, Maiduguri metropolis minutes later.
Shettima is, however, demanding an extension of voting time in the metropolis probably because of the late arrival of the electoral officials.
