Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, who was suspended by President Bola Tinubu on Monday due to an ongoing investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) into an alleged N585 million cash transfer scandal within her ministry, has been released on bail.
She was at the EFCC office on Tuesday and is now required to report to the commission daily. The suspension took place pending the conclusion of the investigation into the alleged crime committed by the minister.
