President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of eight new permanent secretaries to fill vacancies across various states and geopolitical zones. This marks the second set of appointments by the president, following an earlier selection in June.
The new appointees are:
- Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu (Abia)
- Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip (Bayelsa)
- Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia (Ebonyi)
- Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam (Enugu)
- Kalba Danjuma Usman (Gombe)
- Usman Salihu Aminu (Kebbi)
- Oyekunle Patience Nwakuso (Rivers)
- Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna)
The appointments were announced in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, on Monday, December 16.
According to Onanuga, the selection process was rigorous, ensuring that only the most qualified candidates were chosen. President Tinubu has urged the new permanent secretaries to demonstrate commitment, innovation, and diligence in their duties to advance the nation’s development.
The president expressed optimism that the new appointees will bring positive changes to the federal civil service and contribute to the progress of the country.
