President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly sacked 35 aides working in the office of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.
According to news gathered, Nigeria President who is currently in the UK for a two-week private visit approved the sack of the aides on Tuesday.
It was reported that President Buhari approved the sack of at 35 out of over 80 aides in Osinbajo’s office.

GoldenNewsNg learnt that Osinbajo had more aides than President Buhari. Some of them were appointed while Osinbajo was the acting President when Buhari was out of the country for over 130 non-consecutive days in London in 2017during his first tenure.
According to the report, some of the sacked staff includes senior special assistants, special assistants, personal assistants, technical assistants, and some whose appointments were approved in August.

It was learnt that even when Osinbajo was hoping that the alleged sack of 35 of the aides would be reversed by the president, some of the affected persons on Wednesday had their presidential villa access tags retrieved from them by the security personnel as they reported for work.
however, report has it that the President Buhari had previously asked Osinbajo to seek presidential approvals for agencies under his supervision and also moved the National Social Investment Programme (N-SIP) from the vice-president’s office to a new ministry.
