MTN ICT and Business Skills Training: Empowering Young Entrepreneurs for Success
MTN’s Youth Development initiative, the MTN ICT and Business Skills Training, targets young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35. The program is designed to equip them with technologically advanced skills that will enable their small businesses to stay competitive and relevant in today’s market.
This comprehensive training program spans 5 weeks and is delivered online, incorporating insightful Masterclasses hosted by industry experts. To ensure a smooth learning experience, participants will receive data support throughout the program. As a remarkable incentive, the top 300 participants stand a chance to receive an Equipment Grant totaling N90,000,000 – an unprecedented opportunity.
In collaboration with esteemed ecosystem partners such as Oracle, KPMG, IBM, Digital Bridge Institute, CISCO, Google, Meta, and Microsoft, the ICT and Business Skills Training program has successfully executed 5 phases across 16 states since 2018. These states include Abia, Adamawa, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, Borno, Cross River, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kogi, Lagos, Nasarawa, Oyo, and Rivers. Remarkably, the program has seen the graduation of 4,036 ambitious young individuals.
Embarking on its 6th phase, the ICT and Business Skills Training program is set to engage 3000 youths in collaboration with Microsoft and Meta. The upcoming phase guarantees an enlightening experience:
- Microsoft’s segment will encompass training on Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age, leveraging ICT for Business Success, and mastering the intricacies of Generative AI skills.
- Meta, on the other hand, will focus on imparting Skills to Build Brands and Grow Businesses Online through their dynamic Meta Boost Small Business Studios.
Eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Age: Nigerian males or females aged 18 – 35
- Business: Ownership and management of a small business operational for no more than 2 years
- Location: Ownership and management of a small business situated in the following states – Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Kebbi, Niger, Yobe.
