Christensen Hopes For New Chelsea Contract
Chelsea‘s young Danish international, Andreas Christensen, is hopeful that Chelsea will offer him a new contract as his contract is set to come to an end at the end of the current season.
The defender disclosed this in his interview ahead of Moldova’s trip in the World Cup Qualifying o Saturday where he stated he is hopeful Chelsea offers him a new deal to stay at the club.
According to him:
‘It’s hard to know how things will end up, there is a lot of talk. I will not say too much, but I think it looks good.
‘I am happy to be at Chelsea.’
Chelsea Coach Inducted Into First-ever WSL Hall Of Fame
Chelsea’s women head coach, Emma Hayes has been inducted into the first-ever Women’s Super League (WSL) Hall of Fame after she was recognized for her impact on the Barclays FA Women’s Super League during her illustrious nine years as Chelsea manager.
The English FA introduced the Women’s Super League Hall of Fame as part of the tenth-anniversary celebrations earlier this year as they look to recognize individuals who have made a significant impact on the league.
Speaking to Skysports:
‘I’m honoured and surprised, I think only when my career is done, will I really reflect on what we’ve achieved. While I’m in it, I’m always trying to find an edge every day.
‘My goal has always been about what I leave behind. That’s what I’ve worked for, that when I go, I’ve laid good foundations built to last a long time.
Hayes added: ‘A big motivator for me, that young men, young boys like my son grow up where they see women, in positions I’m in and that’s just the norm for them.’
Club World Cup To Be Postponed Until Next Year
According to The Mirror, Club World Cup, which Chelsea will be playing in After Champions League triumph, is set to be postponed until next year.
FIFA previously announced the date of the tournament start is December 9-19 this year but After Japan withdrew from hosting the tournament due Covid-19 concern.the competition is reportedly unlikely to now happen.
‘FIFA have yet to confirm an alternative host but are set to make a decision on when it will now take place at their next Council meeting on October 20,’ the report states.
‘It is likely to be switched until early 2022 but the dates have yet to be nailed down and Chelsea are still waiting to hear. FIFA are yet to decide on the most likely venue but are committed to the tournament.
‘South Africa, Brazil and Qatar have all shown an interest but it is understood that discussions are still ongoing.’
American Star hints At playing For Chelsea
American young star Ricardo Pepi has stated his desire to play for Chelsea.
The young star disclosed this in an interview with TUDN where he stated his love for the blues and hopes one day he will be at Stamford Bridge.
According to him:
‘I am still young and have a lot to learn,’ said Pepi in an interview with TUDN, cited by The Express.
‘I would like to play at Real Madrid one day. Or Chelsea, or another big club.’
